The Zimbabwe Electoral Commission (ZEC) is an Independent Electoral Management Body established in terms of Section 238 of the Constitution of Zimbabwe. Its major function is to manage and conduct elections to the offices of the President, Parliament, and Local Authorities, Referendums, and all related electoral processes in accordance with the laws of Zimbabwe and international best practices.
The Commission wishes to recruit professionals of high integrity with good communication and decision-making skills, and sound knowledge of electoral democracy to fill vacancies that have arisen in the institution. Suitably qualified women are encouraged to apply.

Summary of Key Responsibilities
⦁ Verifying payment voucher for authorization;
⦁ Preparing cash books and accounting memoranda;
⦁ Participating in the preparation of Financial Statements;
⦁ Reconciling debtors and creditors control ledgers and making follow-ups;
⦁ Maintaining the commitment register;
⦁ Producing monthly expenditure analysis reports;
⦁ Participating in budgeting and budgetary controls;
⦁ Recommending internal controls, procedures, and policies;
⦁ Managing the asset ledgers;
⦁ Participating in procurement committee meetings;
⦁ Preparing financial reports;
⦁ SupervisingAccountingAssistant:
⦁ Carry out any other duty assigned.
Qualifications / Job Specifications
⦁ A degree in Accounting. Finance. Auditing or equivalent.
⦁ A minimum of two years of working experience.
⦁ Computer literacy with knowledge in Microsoft Excel, Pastel Accounting and SAP.
⦁ Clean class 4 Driver’s license.
