Qualifications and Experience:
•5 ‘O’ Levels (including Mathematics and English Language).
•A full CIS or Accounting Degree.
•A full CIS/ACCA or Accounting or any Chartered Institute, Accounting Certificate, ACCA and any recognized accounting qualification.
•At least 3 years in a Local Government audit/finance environment would be an added advantage.
•Good IT/Computer skills (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
•Clean Class Four (4) Drivers Licence is a must.
•Good interpersonal and communication skills.
Job Summary:
The Revenue Accountant Officer (the Accountant Revenue) shall assist the Finance Officer in the management of Council Revenue, Billing, Debtors, Billing Reports, Debtors Control and Revenue Reconciliation.
Duties and Responsibilities
•Supervise the billing and collection of Council revenues.
•Supervise the maintenance of accounting records, and reconciliation of revenue.
•Supervise the billing and collection of all Council revenues.
•Ensure that all revenue is banked intact and promptly.
•Supervise the maintenance of accounting records and reconciliation of revenue.
•Prepare monthly revenue reports.
•Ensure that all revenue is banked intact and promptly.
•Perform reconciliations of account receivables and revenue.
