Our Client In The Financial Services Industry Is on the Market For An Accountant With Experience Of At Least Three Years In A Similar Organisation. The Accountant Will Report Directly To The CEO And Will Be Responsible For Leading The Finance Team While Guiding The Organization On All Financial Matters.

Duties Include (But not limited to)

• Oversee All Aspects Of The Institution’s Accounting Operations.
• Prepare Accurate Financial Reports To Management, The Board Of Directors, And Regulatory Authorities.
• Prepare The Annual Budget And Financial Forecasts And Projections.
• Oversee Cash Flow And Liquidity Management To Ensure Operational Needs Are Met.
• Develop And Maintain Strong Internal Controls To Safeguard Assets And Prevent Financial Mismanagement.
• Ensure Satisfactory Ratings On External And Year-End Audits And Ensure Compliance With All Regulatory Requirements.
• Collaborate With Management To Develop Financial Strategies And Provide Decision Support Based On Financial Data.
• Identify Financial Risks And Develop Strategies To Mitigate Them, Ensuring Compliance With Relevant Regulations.
• Lead, Develop, And Mentor The Finance Team, Ensuring High Performance And Professional Growth.

Qualifications And Experience

• A Bachelor’s Degree In Accounting, Finance, Or a Related Field.
• Professional Certification Such As CPA. ACCA, Or ICAZ.
• A Minimum Of 5 Years Relevant Experience, Ideally In The Microfinance Sector.
• Strong Knowledge Of Microfinance Accounting Principles And Financial Regulations.
• Proven Experience In Financial Reporting, Budgeting, And Cash Management.
• Strong Leadership And Team Management Skills.
• Exceptional Analytical, Problem-Solving, And Decision-Making Abilities.
• Excellent Communication Skills And The Ability To Collaborate With Internal And External Stakeholders.
