We are a leading producer, distributor and exporter of bananas, avocados and other fruit as well as apples and flowers in Zimbabwe and are continuing the growth and development of our production and distribution capacity. Our vision is to be a leader in all aspects of our chosen areas of operation. We are looking to recruit a suitably qualified and experienced candidate to fill the role of Accountant for our Burma Valley Farms. You will be responsible for all transactions as well as all reporting for the division. Act as Business partner to the General Manager to interpret financial information and analyse variances.

JOB DESCRIPTION

DIVISION: Burma Valley Farms

REPORTS TO: Finance Manager

REPORTING STAFF: Nill

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

1. Prepare monthly management accounts for presentation to management. Analyse the data and provide variance analysis and explanations for any variances to budget and prior year.

2. Reconcile P&L and balance sheet

accounts on a monthly basis.

3. Preparing, review and posting of monthly

journals, including correction of any misposts.

4. Prepare monthly management report for BV

Farms and JVs

5. Prepare and review Monthly toolkit

file, and annual preparation for audits.

6. Prepare Statutory returns (QPD).

7. Review payment schedule for submission

to treasury for grower payments.

8. Any other Duties which may be assigned to the incumbent by management.

QUALIFICATIONS

1. First degree in accounting, Full CIS, Full ACCA, or Full CIMA.

2. At least 3 years of experience in a similar role

SKILLS REQUIRED

1. Analytical skills and attention to detail

2. Extensive knowledge of Sage Evolution

3. Ability to identify critical issues portrayed by the financial statements and propose practical solutions.

4. Microsoft office knowledge and experience
