Vacancy : ACCOUNTANT – FACULTIES AND INSTITUTES

Duties and Responsibilities

• Daily supervision of the Faculties and Institutes Accounting Function

• Preparation of Faculties and Institutes Financial Statements on a monthly basis and timeously

• Liaison with Faculties and Institutes on issues related to their finances and budgets

• Recommend Internal Control Systems improvements in Faculties and Institutes’ financial operations

• Preparation of faculties and Institutes monthly variance analysis reports

• Assist in the Budget Preparation Process

• Ensuring proper safekeeping of all accounting records

• Any other duties as assigned by the Bursar or Deputy Bursar

Qualifications, Experience and Attributes

• A degree in Accounting from a reputable University

• Possession of a professional Accounting Qualification
• Masters’ Degree in Accounting would be an added advantage
• • Extensive Practical knowledge of Pastel Evolution Accounting System
• At least 3 years’ experience in a similar position / role

• Excellent Communication, Interpersonal and Leadership Skills

• Attention to Detail

• Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines
