Key Responsibilities

  • Prepare accurate daily, weekly, and monthly financial reports and management accounts.
  • Manage project accounting, including CAPEX approvals, project cost monitoring, budget control, and contractor payments.
  • Reconcile shop sales, cash collections, bank deposits, POS transactions, and general ledger accounts.
  • Monitor inventory, food costs, stock variances, cash shortages, and operational losses, implementing corrective actions where required.
  • Process supplier invoices, payments, and statement reconciliations while maintaining accurate accounting records.
  • Assist with budgeting, forecasting, financial analysis, and business performance reporting.
  • Ensure compliance with tax regulations, statutory requirements, company policies, and accounting standards.
  • Support internal and external audits and drive the implementation of audit recommendations.
  • Partner with operational teams to strengthen financial controls and improve profitability.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree (Honours) in Accounting.
  • Professional qualification such as ACCA, CIMA, or CA is required.
  • Minimum of 2 years’ experience as an Accountant within an FMCG environment.
  • Strong knowledge of financial reporting, management accounting, budgeting, and reconciliations.
  • Advanced Microsoft Excel and financial modelling skills.
  • Excellent analytical, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
  • High levels of integrity, accuracy, and attention to detail.
