Key Responsibilities
- Prepare accurate daily, weekly, and monthly financial reports and management accounts.
- Manage project accounting, including CAPEX approvals, project cost monitoring, budget control, and contractor payments.
- Reconcile shop sales, cash collections, bank deposits, POS transactions, and general ledger accounts.
- Monitor inventory, food costs, stock variances, cash shortages, and operational losses, implementing corrective actions where required.
- Process supplier invoices, payments, and statement reconciliations while maintaining accurate accounting records.
- Assist with budgeting, forecasting, financial analysis, and business performance reporting.
- Ensure compliance with tax regulations, statutory requirements, company policies, and accounting standards.
- Support internal and external audits and drive the implementation of audit recommendations.
- Partner with operational teams to strengthen financial controls and improve profitability.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s Degree (Honours) in Accounting.
- Professional qualification such as ACCA, CIMA, or CA is required.
- Minimum of 2 years’ experience as an Accountant within an FMCG environment.
- Strong knowledge of financial reporting, management accounting, budgeting, and reconciliations.
- Advanced Microsoft Excel and financial modelling skills.
