Accountant
Responsibility
Maintaining books of accounts, preparing financial reports and compiling VAT claims reports.
Main duties and responsibilities
- Responsible for maintenance of the proper filing system for finance and operations records and documents.
- Review VAT claims from partners, prepare the consolidated VAT claims report.
- Maintain books of accounts for the consortium management unit.
- Review of partner and CSO financials
- Preparation of Advance requests and liquidations for the consortium
- Preparing account reconciliations
- Provide accounting, finance and administrative support and assist in report preparation as required.
- Preparation of requisitions on behalf of FACE Consortium
- Participate in special projects and assignments as required.
Qualifications and experience
- Degree in Accounting or equivalent from a recognized institution and a Professional Qualification
- At least 3 years’ experience working in an NGO in a similar capacity.
- Proficiency in use of Pastel Accounting Package and Microsoft Excel
- Knowledge of USAID Rules and Regulations
