ACCOUNTANT

An exciting opportunity to join a fast growing manufacturing company has arisen.

Duties 

  • Meeting all Statutory Requirements including Company Income Tax.
  • Management of Cash Books.
  • Preparation of SBU budgets and rolling monthly forecast inclusive of cashflows.
  • Produce routine general ledger and control account reconciliations and submit reports
  • Ensure that creditors have been paid in time and transactions are posted in their respective books of accounts.
  • Prepare monthly creditors reconciliation reports for all sub-ledger accounts, which must agree to the nominal ledger.
  • Resolve all disputed balances and invoices timeously.
  • Prepare individual debtors reconciliations on a monthly basis.
  • Performing special business analysis and investigations as required across the company.
  • Preparation of monthly management accounts and financial statements, inclusive of intercompany consolidation.
  • Preparation of quarterly board reports.
  • Financial planning and analysis of the company.
  • Payroll management .
  • Supervision of Debtor and Creditor’s Clerks.
  • Candidate Specification
  • Experience – 5 years
  • Age 30 years and above

Qualifications

  • First Degree in Accounting & ACCA/ CIS / CIMA an added advantage.

Software

  • Pastel Partner, Ms Office, Ms Excel
  • Knowledge Of Management Accounts and Year End Accounts

Skills To

  • Communicate Effectively at all Levels

Ability To

  • Work Under Pressure from Senior Management

Personality

  • Organised / Honest / Meticulous / Strong Character.

The candidate must be 30 years and above and a holder of a relevant finance/accounting degree along with a positive, proactive attitude to getting the work done. Applicants must have previous experience in a similar position using Pastel Partner.

This role will require someone who is able to commit to overtime and working on Saturdays as required. Candidates MUST be available to start IMMEDIATELY.
