Account Relationship Manager–Steel

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

· Developing and maintaining strong, profitable relationships with corporate clients, with emphasis on the mining and steel sectors, by understanding their evolving needs and providing tailored financial solutions.
· Creating and executing strategic client plans to drive revenue growth, mobilize deposits, and deliver integrated corporate banking products and services.
· Collaborating with Product Specialists, Credit Analysts, and Compliance Officers to deliver holistic solutions while ensuring adherence to both internal risk management requirements and regulatory compliance frameworks.
· Driving business growth through identifying new opportunities, onboarding clients, cross-selling, and expanding existing portfolios.
· Monitoring client account performance, conducting periodic financial and business analysis, and producing reports to support credit decisions and portfolio management.
· Conducting research and analysing market trends, competitor activities, and industry developments to provide proactive advice and strengthen client relationships.
· Providing well-researched investment and treasury advice to optimize client returns in line with money-market trends and liquidity positions.
· Leading client engagement through regular site visits, mining project assessments, and structured meetings to anticipate client needs and strengthen loyalty.

Qualifications:

· A degree in Metallurgy, Chemical Engineering or related.
· A post-graduate qualification such as an MBA will be an added advantage
· At least 3 years’ working experience in STEEL MANUFACTURING is a must
· Excellent interpersonal and relationship management skills.
· Proven ability to conduct high value negotiations.
· Strong analytical skills.
· Knowledge of Zimbabwe’s steel market and regional trade dynamics
