The role – What we expect from you:
- Grow a quality and performing loan portfolio.
- Conduct credit assessments of loan applications submitted by clients, including conducting client interviews.
- Undertake loan credit scoring and ensure that all relevant documents are in place prior to loan disbursements.
- Conduct clients credit clearances.
- Conduct outreaches to promote uptake of the company’s products.
- Create client database and monitor products performance.
- Register stop orders for clients with approved direct deduction arrangements.
- Produce relevant reports to track product performance and to aid decision making.
- Monitor and ensure irregularity and default ratios are in line with the credit policy.
Qualifications, Skills and experience required:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Commercial studies or equivalent from a recognized institution
- Credit management certification an added advantage
- 3 years’ experience in financial services environment
- Problem solving and analytical skills
- Technical knowledge and understanding of the micro-finance business.
- Credit appraisal skills
- Interpersonal and communication skills
- Willing to travel within the defined business area
