Job Summary
The Human Resources Officer will be responsible for supporting the human resource function of the organization according to BZ policies and procedures and National Labour Laws.
Duties And Responsibilities
- Regular review and roll out of HR policies and procedures in compliance with BZ standards and the country’s national Labour law requirements
- Coordinate the development of staffing and recruitment plans ensuring that each team is staffed appropriately according to need and funding availability
- Support the development and implementation of the overall staff learning and development strategy
- Ensure hiring of staff in compliance with the BZ’s policy, national Labour laws and best practice.
- Ensure orientation and on-boarding of all new staff
- Proper management and accurate tracking of staff leave.
- Ensure the timely processing of new contract, contract extension, staff transfers, promotions, acting capacity, and other change of status
- Coordinate processes related to disciplinary actions, staff separation, termination, including liaising with the relevant authorities.
- Employee relations management and provision of service to all HR related inquiries and requests in a timely manner.
- Payroll management.
- Organising monthly staff meetings.
- Creation of personnel files and filing of employee and consultant contract and related documents
Qualifications And Experience
- First degree in Human Resource Management or related field.
- A minimum of 3 years’ experience in a similar position preferably in an NGO environment.
- Membership and certification of a Human Resources Management Professional Institution.
