Job Summary
Assisting the HRBP to execute and implement custom designed Human Resources Solutions that assist the organisations’ human capital capabilities in order for the company to reach its intended goals.
Duties And Responsibilities
SHEQ
3.1 Safety and Health
3.1.1 Assist in actioning items raised through audits and ensure inspections are
carried in accordance with the agreed action plan.
3.1.2 Complying with safety and health standards, guidelines and instructions.
3.1.3 Assist in managing environmental aspects in works e.g. waste
management, oils, water usage etc in the HR department.
3.1.4 Assists in controlling natural resource wastage e.g. oil, water, raw
materials etc within the department
Technical Accountabilities
Assisting the HRBP to execute and implement custom designed Human Resources Solutions that assist the organisations’ human capital capabilities in order for the company to reach its intended goals by doing the following;
3.2 Providing professional guidance on HR and IR matters
3.3 Contributing in developing an annual HR strategy in line with Group objectives
3.4 Optimal resourcing at all times to enable efficient production.
3.5 Improving business culture through implementation of employee engagement
strategies
3.6 Assisting in implementation of effective performance management practices in
line with Group guidelines.
3.7 Human Resources planning
3.8 Fostering an efficient and fair recruitment process .
3.9 Conduct skills audits and assisting in recommending development plans to
close gaps
3.10 Development of annual training and development for respective countries.
3.11 Implementation of agreed annual HR plans and budgets for respective
countries.
3.11.1 Ensure all employees are aware of and understand the Saint-Gobain
policies, practices and procedures applicable to them with the aim of
securing compliance with both internal and external employment regulations
as well as the internal control reference framework.
3.12 Formulate and implement HR policies and procedures in line with Saint Gobain standards
3.13 Training and development for staff using the 70.20.10 rule
3.14 Career development / succession planning
3.15 Assisting in managing trade union effective consultation/negotiations ensuring a conducive Industrial Relations environment.
3.16 Identify and recommend appropriate retention strategy for key skills in accordance with business requirements
3.17 Establish respect and confidence in the HR function by all staff.
3.18 Compiling payroll input in line with organisational policies and Group requirements.
3.19 Taking part in CSR projects within the community
3.20 Provide input for monthly reports for respective countries
3.21 Supervising suppliers (Canteen, Recruitment agencies, Training providers) ensuring optimum resource utilisation
3.22 Ensuring that the relationship between employees, line management and leadership is enhanced at all levels of the organisation.
3.23 Drive the employee engagement survey i.e me@Saint-gobain
3.24 Implementing recognition initiatives
People Management
3.25 Assisting in the people review process annually.
3.26 Develop an open and engaging culture within the business
Qualifications And Experience
o Bsc Social Science / HRM Degree.
o IPMZ Diploma in People Management or studying towards the IPMZ Diploma in
People Management.
o 2 years experience in Human Resources.
