The Assistant Technical Manager – Education supports the coordination and quality assurance of ICAZ’s professional education programmes and qualifying examinations. Working closely with the Education Manager, the role assists in overseeing programme implementation, examination coordination, stakeholder engagement and compliance with ICAZ education and training standards. The position plays an important role in ensuring that professional education programmes, examinations and training programmes are delivered efficiently and in line with the requirements of relevant professional and examining bodies.
Key Responsibilities
- Support the coordination and delivery of ICAZ professional education programmes, for both private sector and public sector programmes.
- Assist in planning and coordinating examination cycles, including preparation, administration and monitoring of examinations.
- Monitor programme implementation and ensure effective coordination between programme coordinators and other stakeholders.
- Ensure compliance with ICAZ examination regulations and professional education standards.
- Support the coordination of examination marking processes and results management.
- Compile programme data, examination statistics and operational reports for management and committees.
- Liaise with universities, training offices, examination bodies and other professional stakeholders.
- Support the preparation of reports and documentation for the Examination Board, Education Committee and other governance structures.
Requirements
- A bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Education, Business Administration or a related field.
- Progress towards or possession of qualification as CA(Z).
- Minimum 3-5 years’ relevant experience in professional education, programme coordination, or training administration will be an added advantage.
- Strong understanding of professional education and training frameworks.
- Excellent interpersonal and stakeholder management skills.
- Strong analytical, organisational and problem-solving abilities.
- High level of attention to detail and commitment to quality.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook).
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Willingness to travel to training offices and partner institutions.
- Ability to handle examination logistics, including occasional lifting of examination materials.
