Mother Touch is seeking to appoint Heads of School – Junior & Senior School. Reporting to the Responsible Authority/Board, the Heads of School will have full leadership accountability for academic excellence, enrollment growth, strategic and administration management, people and culture including spiritual formation, operational systems, and school continuous development, customer satisfaction and marketing and infrastructure development. The successful candidates will be expected to stabilize, strengthen, and scale the school in line with international best practice and the school’s Christian ethos.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and sustain a culture of high academic exceptional excellence, discipline, and continuous improvement.
- Implement clear academic benchmarks, assessment frameworks, and performance tracking systems.
- Ensure effective curriculum delivery, instructional quality, managing school wide expected outcomes, and measurable improvement in examination results.
- Mentor, appraise, and develop teaching staff to achieve consistently high standards.
- Develop and execute a clear multi-year strategic plan aligned with the Board’s vision, international standards, and Christian values.
- Design, document, and implement comprehensive administrative systems, including policies, SOPs, staff handbooks, and governance frameworks.
- Lead institutional change, turnaround initiatives, and performance management across the campus.
- Drive student enrolment, retention, and brand positioning, supported by data-driven market analysis.
- Develop and manage realistic budgets, cost controls, and revenue-growth strategies.
- Ensure financial sustainability while supporting capital development and long-term infrastructure planning.
- Oversee the planning, expansion, upgrading, and maintenance of school facilities.
- Ensure safe, compliant, and future-ready learning environments that support 21st-century education.
- Work with contractors, service providers, and regulators to deliver projects on time and within budget.
- Build a professional, values-driven staff culture rooted in accountability, collaboration, and service.
- Lead staff performance management, recruitment, induction, and development.
- Actively promote Christian spiritual formation among staff and students, integrating faith into school life with integrity and consistency.
- Serve as the public face of the school to parents, alumni, regulators, church partners, and the wider community.
- Maintain strong relationships with the Ministry of Education, Ministry of Health, City Councils, and ensure regulatory compliance.
- Communicate clearly and confidently with diverse stakeholders, including high-expectation parents.
Requirements
- A minimum of 5 years’ senior leadership experience in a reputable Junior or Senior School.
- Demonstrated success in; Improving academic excellence and results, Enrollment growth, Standards and Compliance, People and culture, Communication, Customer Satisfaction and Marketing, Strategic and Administration Management and Managing infrastructure or development projects.
- Recognised teaching qualification and relevant undergraduate degree.
- At least a relevant Master’s degree in Educational Leadership, Management, MBA, or a related field is a strong advantage.
- Strong strategic planning and execution capability.
- High levels of professional discipline, emotional intelligence, and moral leadership.
- Excellent communication, data analysis, and ICT skills.
- Deep alignment with and commitment to Christian education and values.
