Corporate Finance and Policy Manager at the Securities and Exchange Commission of Zimbabwe. Developing, implementing, and maintaining relevant market policies, procedures, and guidelines in line with regulatory requirements and industry best practices.
Key Responsibilities
- Reviewing all corporate actions filed with the Commission and ensuring compliance with issuer disclosure requirements for investor protection.
- Analyzing disclosures by listed companies and providing insights to inform regulatory decisions by the Commission.
- Managing the Commission’s enterprise risk management through robust risk management strategies.
- Leading the Commission fintech engagements and regulatory sandbox testing to promote market development
- Conducting relevant market research and analysing economic developments to inform policy and legislative proposals.
- Leading the Commission’s market development initiatives to align with international trends.
- Identifying market development gaps to inform regulatory changes and policy formulation.
- Fostering local and regional regulatory collaboration
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Economics, Finance, Accounting, Law, Banking, or equivalent.
- Master’s degree in Economics, Finance, Banking or related fields.
- Relevant professional qualification is an added advantage.
- Minimum of five (5) years’ experience in corporate finance, investment or merchant banking, capital markets, or a related investments environment.
