Key Responsibilities

• Manage full accounting functions for mining operations, including production accounting and inventory valuation.
• Lead budgeting, forecasting, and CAPEX planning for mine development and equipment.
• Implement strict cost-control systems across all mining sites.
• Ensure full compliance with Zimbabwean mining, tax, and statutory regulations.
• Prepare monthly management accounts and annual IFRS-compliant financial statements.
• Coordinate internal and external audits and manage mining-related financial risks.
• Engage with banks, auditors, and regulatory bodies such as the Ministry of Mines and Fidelity Gold Refinery

Requirements

• Experience: 10+ years post-qualification experience in mining finance (gold mining preferred).
• Professional Qualification: Chartered Accountant (ICAZ) or senior ACCA/CIMA designation.
• Education: Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting/Finance; MBA or Master’s in Finance is an advantage.
• Technical Skills:
  • Strong knowledge of Zimbabwean tax and mining royalty frameworks.
  • Proficiency in ERP systems (SAP, Sage Pastel, Dynamics 365).
  • Advanced Excel financial modelling.
• Attributes: Integrity, analytical strength, and ability to thrive in fast-paced mining environments.
