Job Title: Procurement Officer x 3
Duty Station: Head Office
Reports to: Deputy Director Procurement
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and implement procurement plans aligned with the NPAZ’s operational requirements.
- Prepare and issue procurement documentation including Requests for Quotations (RFQs), Invitations to Tender (ITTs), and Request for Proposals (RFPs).
- Evaluate bids and proposals in accordance with procurement policies, ensuring transparency and fairness.
- Coordinate and facilitate the tendering and bidding processes, including organizing bid opening sessions and preparing evaluation reports.
- Maintain and update procurement records, contracts, and supplier databases.
- Monitor supplier performance and maintain good supplier relationships to ensure quality and timely delivery of goods and services.
- Ensure compliance with relevant procurement laws, policies, and procedures, including public procurement regulations.
- Assist in negotiating terms and prices with suppliers and service providers.
- Support internal stakeholders in procurement-related inquiries and provide guidance on procurement procedures.
- Conduct market research to identify potential suppliers and stay informed about industry trends.
- Prepare procurement reports and documentation for management review.
- Ensure ethical procurement practices and prevent conflicts of interest.
Qualifications and Skills
- Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, Procurement, or related field.
- Proven experience in procurement or supply chain management, preferably within government or public sector entities.
- Knowledge of procurement laws, policies, and procedures relevant to the public sector.
- Strong negotiation, communication, and interpersonal skills.
- Proficiency in procurement software and MS Office applications.
