VACANCY
Applications are invited from suitably qualified and experienced candidates to fill the following vacant positions that have arisen within Chiredzi Town Council.
1. WORKSHOP FOREMAN
Salary Grade: T9
Reporting to: Director of Works
Qualifications and Experience
- Class 1 Journeyman Certificate in Motor Mechanics or Diesel Plant Fitting.
- Apprenticeship trained.
- At least 5 years post qualification experience in a similar or related field.
- Clean Class 4 Driver’s License.
- Computer literacy.
- Knowledge of local government systems, construction and management systems.
- Knowledge of procurement procedures.
Duties and Responsibilities
- Supervising workshop activities.
- Planning and coordinating workshop activities.
- Supervising and training workshop staff.
- Preparing and submitting workshop reports.
- Ensuring safety and security of workshop equipment.
- Preparing and submitting job cards.
- Maintaining workshop equipment.
- Carrying out procurement of workshop equipment and materials.
- Carrying out any other duties as assigned.
