About ZIMSEC:
ZIMSEC is an autonomous parastatal under the Ministry of Primary and Secondary Education. It is an internationally accredited Examinations Board responsible for:
Assessment, evaluation, and documentation of academic readiness
Monitoring learning progress and skill acquisition
Overseeing examinations at the primary and secondary school levels in Zimbabwe
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide logistical support to security operations
- Coordinate movements and deployment of security personnel
- Ensure compliance with security regulations
- Assist in formulating security strategies and policies
- Develop and manage departmental budgets
- Manage and safeguard security assets
- Conduct security risk assessments
- Implement loss control policies and strategies
- Design and maintain security systems
- Conduct security-related investigations
- Coordinate escort services
- Oversee question paper and examination security processes
- Ensure compliance with relevant legislation
- Supervise disaster and fire management initiatives
- Implement a security intelligence framework
Qualifications and Experience:
- Bachelor’s degree in:
- Police Studies
- Security Management
- Risk Management Or a related field
- Professional certification in any of the above fields (added advantage)
- At least three years of post-qualification experience in security administration
- Experience at the rank of Sergeant, Warrant Officer, or higher in reputable security organizations such as:
- Zimbabwe Republic Police
- Zimbabwe National Army
- Zimbabwe Prisons and Correctional Services (added advantage)
Key Competencies:
- Strong coordination and organizational skills
- Excellent interpersonal and teamwork abilities
- Specialized training in security management
- Knowledge of public administration and criminal justice principles
