Job Purpose:

 

 

The Loss Control Officer is responsible for overseeing the security and protection of all company assets, ensuring safety and compliance across company premises.

 

 

Key Responsibilities:

 

 

• Monitor and supervise security activities at all company premises
• Conduct regular patrols and inspections to ensure the safety of property and personnel
• Prevent unauthorized access, theft, vandalism, and other security breaches
• Maintain surveillance systems and review CCTV footage as needed
• Coordinate with law enforcement and emergency services when necessary
• Conduct investigations and prepare detailed reports on security incidents
• Ensure all security systems, alarms, and procedures are up to date and fully functional
• Assist in the development and implementation of emergency response and evacuation plans
• Conduct loss prevention audits and risk assessments
• Oversee performance of contract security staff

 

 

Minimum Qualifications and Experience:

 

 

• Degree or Diploma in Police and Security Studies or a relevant qualification
• Minimum of 5 years’ experience in a similar role, preferably in a manufacturing or industrial environment
• Strong knowledge of security protocols, access control systems, and loss prevention practices
• Proven experience in investigation and report writing
• Familiarity with labour and security laws in Zimbabwe
• Understanding of emergency response planning and coordination
