1 X ASSISTANT INTERNAL IT AUDITOR
Applications are invited from suitably qualified and experienced persons to fill the position of ASSISTANT INTERNAL IT AUDITOR which have arisen within the Judicial Service Commission. The Commission is a dynamic organization that comprises competent and professional staff.
KEY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
The Assistant Internal IT Auditor will assist the IT Internal Auditor to:
- Perform general and application control reviews of all the Commission’s computer information system.
- Perform information control review to include system development standards, operating systems, system security, communication controls, networks, database and backup, disaster recovery and system maintenance.
- Perform reviews of internal control procedures and security for systems under development and/or enhancement.
- Prepare audit finding and working papers to ensure that adequate documentation exists to support the completed audit and conclusions reached.
- Prepare and present audit observations and other technical information in a clear, concise, and accurate manner to the IT Internal Auditor.
- Follow up on resolution of previous audit findings to ensure that management has taken corrective action(s).
- Assist other audit staff in the use of computerized audit software and techniques, and in developing methods, programs for review and analysis of computerized information system.
- Perform any other job-related duties as assigned.
COMPETENCE AND SKILLS FOR POST:
The person must possess:
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information System or equivalent.
- At least proven one year working experience in information technology auditing
- Studying towards Certified Information Systems Auditor (CISA), ISACA and the IlA membership is an added advantage.
- Demonstrate an understanding of CATs.
