GROUP CHIEF EXECUTIVE OFFICER (CEO)

Primary Responsibilities

• Formulate corporate strategy and spearhead implementation of the Holding Company’s operations and financial performance.
• Identify, research in collaboration with Learning Institutions and implement new short-to-medium and long range growth initiatives for the Holding Company.
• Mobilize strategic partnerships with local and international investors to attract new capital injection, critical skills, technology transfer and market access.
• Evaluate potential mergers and acquisitions in order to grow the Holding Company.
• Create, improve, implement and enforce policies and good corporate governance procedures in the organization that will improve operational and financial effectiveness of the Holding Company.
• Communicate effectively and establish credibility throughout the Holding Company and with the Board of Directors as an effective developer of solutions to business challenges.
• Report to the Board of Directors of the Corporation in accordance with the timelines.
  Provide expert financial guidance, advice and improve the planning and budgeting process on a continual basis by educating key members of corporate leadership.
• Optimize the handling of banking relationships and work closely with Group Finance Director to foster and grow strategic financial partnerships.
• Work with finance team to develop a solid cash flow projections and reporting mechanisms, including setting minimum cash thresholds to meet operating and investment needs.
• Act as a strategic advisor and consultant, offering expert advice on contracts, negotiations or business deals that the Holding Company and its Subsidiaries may enter into.
• Evaluate the Holding Company’s financial, operational, sales and marketing structures to enhance operating efficiencies and profitability.
• Mentor and interact with members of staff at all levels to foster growth and encourage development among senior executive team and all members of staff.
• Establish systems of collaboration and cooperation with tertiary and research and development institutions.
• Build the human resources capacity and Performance Management Systems to deliver efficiently as per the Results Based Management systems.
• Provide effective oversight on the Holding Company, based on a culture of best practices and good corporate governance standards so as to safeguard shareholder value and ensure competitive returns.

Qualifications and Experience

• A minimum of Bachelor’s degree in either Finance, Economics, Project Management, Business Leadership or any other equivalent business related qualification. Having Masters degree qualification is an added advantage.
• Proven experience as CEO or at least 10 years progressive corporate working experience in Corporate leadership with at least 5 years at a
• Senior Executive position.
• Experience in developing profitable strategies and implementing vision.
