The Union Zimbabwe Trust (UZT) is a local not-for-profit organization, legally registered as a Trust since 2019.The organisation exists to promote innovative public health solutions by developing, implementing, and evaluating tuberculosis, lung health and non-communicable disease programmes within the framework of national public health priorities in Zimbabwe, is seeking to fill the vacancy below:

The Finance and Admin Officer reports to the Senior Administrator and is responsible for overseeing the program finances and other operations and administrative duties relating to the Global Fund project. The Finance Officer will supervise project funds, managing and reporting on its financial performance to ensure best use of resources by preparing sound budgets, monitoring project expenses and ensuring timely preparations of donor financial report

Duties And Responsibilities
Responsibilities.

• The Finance Officer will also actively participate in finance-related activities for the Finance and Administration Department, drawing expertise from the finance team to strengthen the financial systems of the project.
• Prepares and submits timely and correct monthly and quarterly Global Fund Financial Reports
• Compiles and submits disbursement requests.
• Establishes and revises policies and procedures as appropriate to strengthen financial
systems
• Ensures compliance, value for money, and efficiency in the procurement of goods and
services within the Global Fund Grant.
• Assist in the management of fixed assets of the Global Fund
• Maintains financial oversight of programme funds disbursed, tracking the spending to
ensure compliance with financial management regulations and Global Fund requirements.
• Budget tracking during program implementation to ensure that they are in accordance with
Approved Work Plans.

Qualifications And Experience

• B Com (Hons.) Accounting/Bachelor of Accounting. ACCA or CIMA will be an added

advantage.
• A minimum of two (2) years post-qualifying experience in the management of programs
funded by the Global Fund as well as managing finances for other donors.
• Has in-depth knowledge of Global Fund financial management rules and regulations.
• Conversant with Accounting packages such as QuickBooks, Pastel, etc.
• Compliance-related experience is an added advantage.
