LECTURER/ SENIOR LECTURER /ASSOCIATE PROFESSOR/PROFESSOR (1 POST): FACULTY OF ARTS, CULTURE AND HERITAGE STUDIES: DEPARTMENT OF LANGUAGES AND LITERATURE-ISINDEBELE: NATIONAL CENTRE

MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES

Leading in the development and launching of new programmes ; Developing and producing Open and Distance e-Learning materialsincluding writing modules and study guides;Tutoring online and face to face;Marking assignments and examinations;Engaging in research, innovative/creative work as well as industrialisation;Promoting University wide initiatives;Establishing partnerships with industry and local communities;Engaging in community service;Interfacing with other Faculties;Engaging in University service;Proficiency in teaching and learning strategies; andCarrying out any other duties as assigned.

QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE

A minimum of a Master of Arts in African Languages and Literature (IsiNdebele ) or equivalent;A relevant Bachelor of Arts Honours in IsiNdebele, or equivalent;Possession of a PhD in any of the areas stated above is an added advantage;A minimum of two (2) years teaching experience in an institution of Higher Learning is a requirement;Knowledge and appreciation of the concept of Education 5.0;Knowledge of Open and Distance e-learning (ODeL) would be an added advantage; andComputer literacy a must;
