Job Summary

Responsible for analyzing usage records and reference data from multiple sources throughout the revenue chain from provisioning, mediation, billing to the booking of revenues.

Duties And Responsibilities

– Scrutinize and perform risk analysis on business cases and product concepts originated by the Commercial departments.
– Perform acceptance testing for changes to system configurations, newly developed Revenue Assurance integrations, new products and promotions, new software/application release or upgrades and post-production tests to minimize the risk associated with such changes to the business.
– Carry out initiatives that prevent revenue leakage, reduce cost, increase revenue and reduce deficits.
– Develop tools, templates and processes to assist in automation of workflow.
– Execute audit queries on live data obtained from network operations and compare with corresponding billing data to ensure consistency.
– Audit network operations systems and the billing systems regularly to ensure accuracy of tariff rates; review and analyse billing data, rate plans and billing system table to determine areas of revenue leakage.
– Document, quantify and develop root cause analysis and suggest resolutions for RA issues identified.
– Ability to analyse data, spot trends, draw conclusions and make recommendations.

Qualifications And Experience

• First Degree in Business Studies and Computer Science/Accounting/Information Systems or equivalent numerate discipline.
  • Working knowledge of data mining/analysis
  • Experience in revenue assurance and system audit.
  • Knowledge of International Financial Reporting Standards.
  • Experience handling large volumes of data is essential.
  • Advanced PC skills with Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint.
  • Ability to develop and run queries using SQL and perform complex data analysis.
  • Professional experience in application development tools.
  • Good analytical skills.
