Job Summary
Applications are invited from suitably qualified candidates for the above vacant position of Payments Officer who will be responsible for the provision of client payments services in line with organizational Policies, Procedures, and Systems. To effectively deliver on the job, an ideal candidate will be expected to action Client Payments in the relevant payment mode and to accurately reconcile payments daily in line with Standard Operating Procedures. The required incumbent will report to the Group Accountant and will be responsible for the following;
Duties And Responsibilities
- Processing of payments through various platforms.
• Receiving cash directly from Clients, transacts through the fiscal and enters into the system.
• Receiving emails from the client confirming the payment, transacting through the fiscal, and entering it into the system.
• Printing out the statement from Bank Accounts daily enters each client through the fiscal and into the system.
• Ensuring that all modes of payment have been documented in the relevant systems daily.
• Reconciliation of payments.
• Investigating discrepancies and communicating with the Group Accountant to address the discrepancies.
• Responding to client queries relating to payments.
Qualifications And Experience
- Diploma in Accounting or equivalent from a reputable institution
• Experience in Accounting/Invoicing/Payment field is an added advantage
• Proficiency in MS Office with expertise in Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, Access, and Excel.
• Detail-oriented and comfortable working in a fast-paced office environment.
• Exceptional verbal and written communication skills and emotional intelligence
• Self-motivation, and a desire to take ownership of responsibilities.
