Procurement Officer – Harare
Duties And Responsibilities
Specific Dudes and Responsibilities:
• Processes purchase requisitions/orders in line with the Fund’s policies and procedures.
• Processes, invites, assesses and recommends supplier tenders, bids, quotations and proposals.
• Conducts regular supplier performance evaluations to ensure they meet required standards.
• Establishes and negotiates contract terms and conditions and maintains good supplier relationships.
• Prepares and maintains procurement records, reports and price lists.
• Assists in the development of specifications for equipment, materials and services to be purchased.
• Administers contract performance including delivery, receipt, warranty, damages and insurance.
• Participates in the formulation of the Fund’s procurement strategies.
• Produces relevant periodic procurement reports on a quarterly, bi-annually, annually. etc.
Qualifications And Experience
Qualifications, Experience and Competencies
• Honours Degree in Purchasing and Supply Management or equivalent degree
• A professional Qualification in Procurement preferably CIPS will be an added advantage
• At least three years’ relevant experience with strong bias towards Public Sector Procurement
• Good knowledge of SAP
• Clean class 4 drivers’ licences must
