The Accounts Clerk will be responsible for the school’s administrative and clerical duties for the Hermann Gmeiner Primary School Bulawayo. He or she will perform office admin tasks, bookkeeping and reporting, and research and resolve accounting discrepancies. This is a one year fixed term position.
Duties And Responsibilities
• Data capturing into pastel petty cash and RTGS payments.
• Making petty cash payments and maintaining a cash book register
• Maintain levy/tuition cash book.
• Compile weekly petty cash requisitions.
• Compile month on month expenditure analysis
• Make RTGS payments after Procurement and Finance committee’s deliberations.
• File all payment and source documents.
• Conducting tuck-shop monthly stock take verifications.
• Checking goods received which have been paid through levy/tuition
• Analyzing tuck-shop stock movement.
• Filing all pupils’ receipts.
• Maintaining Pupils ledger, invoicing and data capturing receipts.
• Month on month receipts analysis.
• Collect quotations from department heads and compile comparative schedule before submitting to Procurement committee.
• Check tuck-shop banking sheets before banking.
• Making tuck-shop RTGS payments and payment vouchers.
• Checking goods received which have been paid through Tuckshop account.
• Accounting for expenditure and receipting of all monies received through fundraising projects.
• Maintain asset register.
• Receipting all levies/tuition and Tuck shop revenue
• Compilation of trips and holiday lessons.
• Data capturing into pastel petty cash and RTGS payments.
Qualifications And Experience
• Degree in Accounting /equivalent Professional Qualifications such as CIS ,CIMA,ACCA
• At least 3 years working experience in an Accounting environment.
• Knowledge of Accounting Packages.
• Strong Excel skills
• Organized
• Team Player
• Can work with minimum supervision
• Good communication skills
• Good at Numbers
