JOB DESCRIPTION
We are looking for a developer responsible for the development and maintenance of Android apps that run on a vast number of diverse devices. You will work along-side other engineers and developers to develop Android apps and their integrate them with back-end services. Commitment to collaborative problem solving, sophisticated design and creating quality products is essential.
Duties and Responsibilities
- Design, build and maintain high performance, reusable, and reliable code for the Android platform
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to translate designs and wireframes into high quality code
- Work with outside data sources and APIs
- Unit-test code For robustness, including edge cases, usability and general reliability
- Identify and correct bottlenecks, Fix bugs and improve application performance
- Continuously discover, evaluate and implement new technologies to maximize development efficiency to ensure the best possible performance, quality and responsiveness of the application
Qualifications and Experience
- A degree in Computer Science, Engineering or a related subject
- Proven software development experience and Android skills development
- Strong knowledge of Android SDK, different versions of Android, and how to deal with different screen sizes
- Experience working with RESTful APIs to connect to back-end services
- Working knowledge of the general mobile landscape, architectures, trends, and emerging technologies
- Solid understanding of the Full mobile development life cycle.
- Strong knowledge of Android UI design principles, patterns and best practices
- Experience with offline storage, threading, and performance tuning
- Knowledge of the open-source Android ecosystem and the libraries available for common tasks
- Familiarity with cloud message APIs and push notifications oe
- Understanding of Google’s Android design principles and interface guidelines
- Proficient understanding of code versioning tools such as Git
- Familiarity with continuous integration
Qualifications and Experience
- Knowledge of Jetpack compose
- Knowledge of Kotlin Multiplatform Mobile (KMM)
- UI/UX principles
- Reactive programming
