Administrative Assistant : Intellectual Property Legal Support Centre
Duties and Responsibilities
The successful candidate must be able to:-
• Manage day-to-day operations of the Intellectual Property Legal Support Centre
• Liaise with internal and external stakeholders
• Assist in setting up, developing, reviewing and improving administrative systems, policies and procedures
• Ensure the office is stocked with necessary supplies and all equipment is working and properly maintained
• Work with the Director and Faculty Officer to set budgets and monitor spending;
• Assist in planning, scheduling, and promoting office events including meetings, conferences, interviews, orientations, course and training sessions
• Process advertisements for courses, prepare timetables, facilitate registration of course participants
• Electronic information management and filing systems (electronic and physical records management)
• Oversee special projects and track progress.
Qualifications And Experience
The position requires an individual with: –
• Bachelor’s degree in Administration, Management or related field
• Experience in the Intellectual Property legal environment in an administrative capacity and experience in financial reporting, preferred
• Outstanding leadership and time management skills
• Strong problem solving skills, advanced critical thinking, good interpersonal skills, report writing and written communication skills
• Computer literacy is a must
• Good project management skills and knowledge of project records maintenance
• Familiarity with budget planning models and compliance enforcement
