Applications are invited from suitably qualified and experienced incumbents to fill in a vacancy that has arisen in a dynamic and well-established insurance organisation.

Position : Senior IT Manager

Reporting to : Insurance Business Manager

Responsibilities:

1. Lead IT projects, including the design and implementation of new IT systems and services.
2. IT Governance – Formulate, implement and review IT policies and Information Security policy, procedures and controls in alignment with user needs and system functionality to contribute to organizational policy.
3. Evaluate and select service providers, contract and manage service provider relationships.
4. Evaluate, follow-up and report on IT Risks and Compliance issues.
5. Provide management and guidance for IT support of desk-based computer hardware and software, providing solutions, diagnosing and solving issues and escalating to superior where appropriate.
6. Log and track all incidents and requests on the Helpdesk system, providing regular updates and ensuring SLA’s are complied with.
7. G) Maintain a knowledge base of recurring issues & their associated fixes whilst investigating root causes.
8. h) Analyze business requirements by partnering with key stakeholders across the organization to develop solutions for IT needs.

Qualifications and Experience:

1. A Degree in Computer Science or Information Technology
2. CISCO certification (CCENT)
3. An Information Security qualification is an added advantage
4. Minimumof 5 years of experience.
5. Must have technical expertise in an array of areas in order to address the comprehensive IT demands,
