Zimasco (Pvt) Limited, a major player in Zimbabwe’s Ferrochrome Production, has some exciting and challenging career opportunities at its Mining Division.
Applications are invited from suitably qualified, competent and experienced persons to fill the following vacant positions on a renewable fixed term contract basis.
CONTRACTS MINING MANAGER (NORTH AND MIDDLE DYKE)
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS ^EXPERIENCE
- Degree in Mining Engineering or Equivalent.
- Minimum of 5 years’ experience, 2 years preferably at Mine Captain level.
- Experience in hard rock mining (both surface and underground) for at least 3 years.
- A holder of a Full Blasting Licence.
- A working knowledge of mining software systems.
- Sound knowledge of NOSA or any other similar Safety, Health and Environmental management System
- A holder of a clean class 4 Driver’s licence.
- Narrow seam dyke mining experience is an added advantage.
- Mine Manager Certificate of Competency is an added advantage.
KEY PERFORMANCE AREAS
- Managing Tributor and Contractor – run mining operations to ensure the achievement of set production targets.
- Production and Capital Projects Planning and Scheduling
- Production Tonnage and Grade Reconciliation.
- Budgeting and Cost Control.
- Stock – pile Management Quality Control.
