Duties and Responsibilities
• Identify and raise awareness of environmental issues for the project
• Ensure production and maintenance of safety and environmental programmes
• Ensure the company’s environmental and safety policy is implemented
• Carry out routine or unplanned visits and inspections to ensure compliance with environmental legislation and taking action to improve conditions
• Advise on planning and licensing applications
• Monitor and evaluate sites
• IMS Implementation
Qualifications and Experience
• A degree in Environment health& safety or the relevant discipline
• Three (3) years post graduate experience in power generation or heavy industry
• SAATCO.OSHEMAC is a requirement
• Membership of a recognized professional institution
• Computer literacy
• Clean Class4 driver’s license
