Duties and Responsibilities

Essential Duties & Responsibilities:

• Work with ZACH Logistics and supply chain, PTO, other Provincial and District based team members in ‘medicines supply monitoring

• Be the lead person for ZACH in liaising and working with MOHCC (PPM. DPM, DMO, DNO. Natpharm and facilities within the assigned provinces) in supporting MOHCC with monitoring stock levels and availability of medicines and attending meetings

• Support HPCTS and FCI programme staff as well as the pharmacy personnel on pharmaceuticals and Pharmaceutics processes and procedures including monitoring of ADR and adherence counselling.

• Capacitate HPCTS and FCI programme staff on ARVs, drug interactions, side effects, dosages and storage of pharmaceuticals, as well as keeping them up to date with the national trends and guidelines;

• Coordinates with PPM and DPMs in supporting the maintenance of the established policies and procedures concerning quality assurance, security of controlled substances, and disposal of hazardous waste drugs

• Assist supported facilities and community posts with managing appropriate data collection, such as client name, prescribed medication, maintain pharmacy files, charge system, and inventory

• Work with relevant clinic site personnel and FCI team leaders to maintain accurate drugs records system for efficient drug logistics

• Support facilities and [CI community posts in placing routine orders and emergency orders in compliance with MOHCC legal regulatory. formulary. budgetary, and contractual requirements

• Support CARGS and other MOHCC support ART delivery models in the assigned provinces

• Ensure completion and submission accurate and auditable monthly drug reports from ZACH supported clinic sites and community posts

• Assist to provide weekly and monthly reports related to ART medicines

• Receiving, verifying, and storing stock and supplies purchased by ZACH and investigating and resolving discrepancies.

• Support facilities in ensuring that receipt and storage of all medications complies with MOHCC legislative requirements and policies and procedures.

Qualifications and Experience

• At least a Diploma in Pharmaceutical Technology

• At least 5 years post graduate continuous experience preferably with ARVs and Olmedications

• Registration with the Pharmacist Council of Zimbabwe with a valid practicing license• Computer literate I data collection, analysis, presentation and reporting)

• Knowledge and training in ZADS and ZAPS

• Qualifications in Medicines management supervisor’s course, Rational medicine use, Medicines quantification and supply chain, Pharmacovigilance, leadership and governance and mentorship Ion job training) is required

• Background experience working in a research setting and M&E will be an added advantage

• Experience of working in the community and with NGOs in HIV Prevention, Care and Treatment Support is an added advantage.
