Role Description

The purpose of this role is to manage the financial affairs of the firm particularly in a challenging and constantly changing economic environment to ensure that the firm remains financially viable. Responsibilities • Prepare and control the firm’s budgets • Produce and present regular financial reports to the firm management committee • Administer the payroll • Prepare and file all tax returns (payroll and statutory tax• Processing supplier invoices and ensuring timely payments • Apply a sophisticated approach to the use of data and analytics in financial planning and financial management of the firm

Experience, Skills & Knowledge

• Accounting bachelors’ degree from a reputable institution and a professional accounting qualification. Being a qualified and registered chartered accountant is an added advantage • At least 5 years’ experience working in a professional services environment; experience working for a busy law firm or chartered accounting firm an added advantage • Able to work with automated billing and payment systems • Experience with tax planning and interfacing with tax authorities • Business administration experience is an added advantage • Able to maintain discretion and confidentiality, • Can demonstrate initiative, innovativeness and ability to be proactive, while also being able to implement assigned• tasks and provide support to the firm’s management committee Can carry out all responsibilities in an ethical manner, with professionalism and in a way which supports the practice’s values and promotes its equal opportunities and diversity principles
