Senior Compliance Inspector
Reporting to the Principal Contributions & Compliance Inspector, the successful candidate will ensure total compliance by employers, employees and other persons with provisions of NSSA statutes, primarily in terms of:
The registration of employers and employees.
Payment of contributions.
The maintenance of records as prescribed.
The furnishing of information and data which is essential for the smooth and proper administration of the schemes and,
The prevention of abuse and fraud.
The role is achieved by examination of records relating to the employment of employees and by direct interview of employers, employees and other persons. Visits to employers’ premises may be, by way of routine inspection or in relation to any case where enquiry, investigation or inspection is necessary.
Key Outputs
Ensure follow ups on contributions and premiums and maintenance of employer accounts are made to ensure maximum revenue collection and have employer/employee master records.
Ensure effective & efficient response to employer queries to facilitate good clientele relations as well as communicating with them on client information so as to keep an updated and accurate client profile.
Service delivery to all customers within the stipulated turnaround times.
Stakeholder engagements to ensure customers keep abreast with current NSSA issues
Plan, control and coordinate activities of the Compliance department to enable the smooth functioning of the section.
Verify and approve amounts for prosecution and litigation to ensure that all dues are collected.
Attend high court cases to prove NSSA claims against defaulters, liquidation meetings and creditors meetings so that the Authority will not lose its dues from judicially managed entities.
Qualifying Requirements
A Diploma in Business Studies, Accounting, Marketing or Law or equivalent.
3-5 years’ relevant experience in either law enforcement work or debt management
