Key Responsibilities
- Research investment, policy and regulatory matters and prepare legal opinions, briefs, alerts and management reports.
- Draft, review and support negotiation of contracts, MOUs, PPP and SEZ agreements, procurement, employment, confidentiality and investor documents.
- Track and analyse legislation, court decisions and policy developments; support reform proposals, advocacy and comparative benchmarking.
- Support investor grievance resolution, aftercare, dispute prevention, mediation, litigation coordination and external counsel engagement.
- Monitor contractual and statutory obligations, maintain legal records and registers, and promote confidentiality, data protection and regulatory compliance.
- Provide corporate secretarial and technical support to Boards, Committees and PPP processes, including papers, minutes and action trackers.
- Prepare stakeholder, investor education and management materials and liaise with Ministries, public entities and One Stop Investment Services Centre agencies.
- Develop templates and guidance, identify and escalate legal risks, and perform related duties assigned by authorised senior officers.
Requirements
- Bachelor of Laws (LLB) from a recognised institution.
- At least 2-3 years’ relevant post-qualification experience in corporate, commercial, investment, public sector, regulatory, compliance, policy or contracts law.
- Law Society of Zimbabwe registration is an added advantage.
- Sound knowledge of the ZIDA Act and Regulations, investment legislation, administrative law, contract management, compliance, PPP and SEZ frameworks.
