Key Responsibilities

  • The successful candidate will be expected to implement and deliver an appropriately broad, balanced, relevant and differentiated curriculum to learners in the curriculum area as appropriate, evaluate, monitor and support the overall progress and total development of learners including co-curricular activities as well as appropriate administrative work in line with Catholic and Jesuit ethos and the College’s Vision, Mission, Values and policies.

Requirements

  • At least a Bachelor’s Degree in Physics.
  • At least a diploma-level teaching qualification.
  • Demonstrated competence in the Cambridge syllabus up to Advanced Level.
  • Minimum of three years’ teaching experience in Physics.
  • Proof of completion of Cambridge Professional Development programs in the subject.
  • Willingness to work within the Catholic traditions and ethos of St Ignatius College.
  • Proficiency in coaching and / or facilitating at least two co-curricular activities.
  • At least intermediate level ICT literacy and proficiency with E-Learning platforms.
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal and organisational skills.
  • Irreproachable integrity, professional conduct and a passion for teaching as a vocation.
  • Ability and willingness to work additional hours as needed.
  • The successful candidate should be able to teach Biology/Chemistry up to IGCSE.
