Senior Mobile Core Network Engineer

The successful candidate will plan, deploy, integrate, operate and optimise Powertel’s LTE and future 5G core network infrastructure to deliver secure, reliable and high-performance mobile services.

Key Responsibilities

  • Plan and design LTE EPC and future 5G Core capacity.
  • Deploy and integrate mobile core network elements.
  • Support LTE, 5G NSA and future 5G SA deployments.
  • Monitor and optimise network performance.
  • Perform subscriber provisioning and QoS management.
  • Resolve network faults and implement security controls.
  • Maintain operational and configuration records.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Telecommunications, Electronic, Electrical or Computer Engineering, Computer Science or related field.
  • Registration with the Zimbabwe Institution of Engineers or recognised professional body.
  • Valid Class 4 Zimbabwe Driver’s Licence.
  • Minimum four years’ relevant experience.
  • Experience with LTE EPC and IP networking.
  • Experience with ZTE ZXUN EPC or equivalent is an advantage.
