Key Responsibilities
- Install, maintain and repair industrial electrical systems and equipment.
- Carry out preventative and corrective maintenance on production machinery.
- Diagnose electrical faults and minimize machine downtime.
- Ensure all electrical work complies with safety standards and company procedures.
- Participate in machine installations and commissioning.
- Maintain accurate maintenance records.
- Work closely with the Production and Maintenance teams to ensure efficient operations.
Requirements
- National Diploma or Degree in Electrical Engineering or equivalent.
- At least 5 years’ experience in an industrial / manufacturing environment.
- Proven experience maintaining and troubleshooting production machinery.
- Experience with polypropylene woven bag manufacturing machinery or similar plastic manufacturing equipment will be a distinct advantage.
- Knowledge of motors, control panels, VFDs, PLCs, sensors and industrial automation.
- Ability to work under pressure with minimal supervision.
- Strong problem-solving skills and a high level of integrity.
- Willingness to work shifts and respond to emergency breakdowns when required.
