Key Responsibilities
- Assist water resources officer in monitoring water-flows and water use in accordance with allocations on the permit
- Assist in supervising the exercise of permits for the use of water including groundwater
- Ensure unregistered water users regularize their water use
- Patrols along rivers to assess activities being carried out in or along the river
- Work closely with Water Resources Officer, Government departments and other stakeholders in engaging with communities practicing activities which are considered harmful to water resources e.g. stream bank cultivation, deforestation
- Distribute invoices, statements and receipts to water users
- Receiving cash and recording it in the cash register
Requirements
- 5 O level subjects including English Language and Mathematics
- Diploma in Water Resources Management/Natural Resources Management/Agriculture/Geography and Environmental Sciences or equivalent
- Ability to work with minimum supervision
- A person of integrity, trustworthy and sober habits
- Class 3 driver’s license will be an added advantage
