Qualifications and Experience

• Higher National Diploma in Purchasing and Supply or equivalent
• Membership of a recognised professional institution
• At least 3 years practical full time experience in a similar position

Duties and Responsibilities

• Ensures that requirements for the Project including consumables are ordered on time
• Checks the corrects for purchases requests, specifications, analyse descriptions and obtain additional information where necessary
• Researches for and selects potential and suitable sources of supply in line with existing laws and procedures
• Attends tender openings and performs tender secretariat duties in meetings
• Evaluates received bids, quotations and other terms against tender and prepare comparative schedules
• Compiles purchase requisitions /order status reports and other reports as and when required
