Applications are invited from suitably qualified and experienced persons to fill the above-mentioned position that has arisen in Chamber Secretary and the Engineering Department.
Roles And Responsibilities
- Ensuring that vehicles are repaired to the highest quality as prescribed by Council guidelines (Quality Checks).
- Supervising artisans and training apprentices including performance management of sectional staff.
- Monitoring work activity in the workshop work study, work cards, and ensuring vehicle check lists.
- Scheduled maintenance (preventive and breakdown maintenance), and work schedules.
- Overseeing work, anticipate detect and address factors that impede operations.
- Enforcing safety of staff, equipment and regulations and protocols.
Qualifications And Experience
- Class 1 Journeyman Card in Motor Mechanics or Diesel Plant Fitting.
- National certificate in Motor Mechanic or Diesel Plant Fitting
- Certificate of completion of apprenticeship is an added advantage.
- At least five (5) “0” levels including Maths and English.
- A minimum of two (2) years post-qualification experience.
- Computer Literacy.
