Workshop Administrator
Applicants most have at least a degree in Transport or Automotive Engineering/ Mechanical Engineering. Possession of a Class One (1) Journeyman in Diesel and Tractor/Auto Electrics would be an added advantage. In addition applicants most have three (3) years’ experience as a Supervisor in an Automotive workshop and should be computer literate.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Planning and coordinating day to day activities in the workshop, – Recommending sub contacting of vehicles repairs depending on load and complexity of the job. – Preparing weekly progress reports on work done and work in progress; – Testing vehicles after completion of repairs and deciding on their road fitness; – Ensuring that correct spares and accessories are supplied and fitted on the vehicles; – Ensuring workshop is clean, tidy and records are up to date; – Enforcing health and safety standards procedures and protocols; Training staff; Supervising, motivating and appraising staff in the workshop: and – Allocating jobs to Artisans and any other duties as assigned by the Transport Manager.
