Established in 1984 by volunteer doctors and nurses, International Medical Corps is a private, voluntary, nonpolitical, nonsectarian organization. Its mission is to improve the quality of life through health interventions and related activities that build local capacity in underserved communities worldwide. By offering training and health care to local populations and medical assistance to people at highest risk, and with the flexibility to respond rapidly to emergency situations, International Medical Corps rehabilitates devastated health care systems and helps bring them back to self-reliance.

Project background
International Medical Corps is anticipating six months OFDA funded emergency response project to respond to the emergency caused by Cyclone Idai in Manicaland province. The project focus is on addressing emergency WASH needs at the health facility and community level.
International Medical Corps is therefore seeking qualified candidates for this project. The positions are contingent upon funding being received from the donor. The incumbents will be based in any of the targeted areas of operation and will be working closely with relevant ministries in Manicaland province.

Role purpose
The incumbent will be responsible for data capturing, analysis and reporting of activity data. She/he will work closely with the M & E Coordinator, Nutrition/WASH Officers.

Key responsibilities
Support all WASH related field activities; Assist in planning of key WASH activities e.g. meetings or through liaising with Field Officers when compiling consolidated training schedules; Compiling of minutes during meetings as requested; Compilation of key observations from the entered registers monthly and reporting these to the MEAL Officer; Compilation of registers as well as distribution management of the tools in consultation with the WASH Team Leader; Data entry and cleaning of any assessment that is managed outside the normal district data management systems with support from the MEAL Officer.

Candidate Qualification
Students studying towards a Bachelor’s degree in Social Science, Environmental Health from a recognized University with support letters from their learning institutions looking for attachment positions.
