| VOLUNTEER PROJECT OFFICER |
A Harare based apex Council for Informal Trader Associations is seeking to engage a career driven and passionate volunteer Projects Officer.
We are looking for a vibrant, innovative and adaptable individual with capacity to initiate and implement programs and activities in line with the core business of the Council and related areas of interest.
| KEY RESPONSIBILITIES |
- Initiating and discovering opportunities for the council
- Sourcing funding for council programs and projects through proposals and other initiatives
- Responding to calls from Donor organisations and writing winning proposals
- Managing timeframes for projects
- Assisting in monitoring and evaluation of community development programs
- Compiling monthly and quarterly reports on program activities
- Representing the organisation and senior staff in meetings
- Liaising with stakeholders including relevant government departments and community leaders
| QUALIFICATIONS |
A relevant Bachelor Degree in Social Sciences either Social Work , Development Studies or any other qualification in this field that may satisfy the requirements of the position.
| EXPERIENCE AND SKILLS |
Essentials
- Ability to initiate, manage and implement project activities
- Ability to work on own initiative and communicate effectively as a team member
- Ability to analyse information and present in a clear and accurate manner both verbal and written
- Ability to write formal and factual reports, identifying key issues
- Ability to work towards tight deadlines whilst working to multiple and conflicting deadlines-
- Experience or previous association with NGOs an added advantage
- IT skills in word, Excel and PowerPoint
| REMUNERATION |
We are offering a basic monthly allowance to be disclosed to the successful candidate. Successful calls and winning proposals identified and attended to by the incumbent will entitle them to a dividend of awards towards administration should the funding be made available.
