Training Assistant
The UZCHS-PERFECT program is calling for applications from suitably qualified candidates for an ANTICIPATED grant to implement the CHIP initiative under the STRengthening InterProfessional Education for HIV (STRIPE HIV) program. These will form the CHIP administrative team that will work under the supervision of the UZCHS-PERFECT Program Director with immediate supervision by the CHIP Principal Investigator. This initiative will be funded through University of California, San Francisco and AFREhealth by Human Resources and Services Administration for a period of 9 months. Please note that offer of employment will only be confirmed once funding has been approved.

The position will support in full the implementation of the CHIP initiative. It will require a person with experience in implementing high level training programs in an NGO environment and/or higher education institutions. This is a high-level position that requires possession of critical decision-making skills and minimal supervision. The position will be under the supervision of the UZCHS-PERFECT program Training Coordinator

Roles & Responsibilities

  • Organize high level training workshops within and outside Harare for lecturers, students and health professionals;
  • Work with the Admin Assistant on workshops logistics such as venues, transport, invitations, course materials, video recording of sessions and many others;
  • Conduct training needs assessment of participants;
  • Communicating with and giving assistance to partner institutions in conducting training workshops;
  • Ensure ICT learning platforms are established and being utilized;
  • Contacts stakeholders about workshops;
  • Compile workshops reports after every workshop;
  • Work with the M&E Assistant to conduct exit surveys for workshops

Qualifications & Competencies

  • Degree in training management, health education, Nursing, health administration, social sciences or related field. A Masters degree would be an added advantage;
  • High-level experience coordinating multiple training events in an NGO/academic institution;
  • Advanced events organizational skills;
  • Ability to handle multiple tasks;
  • Ability to communicate with different levels of stakeholders e.g. lecturers, health professionals and administrators;
  • Knowledge of ICT training tools
