The role supports compliance with ICAO Standards and Recommended Practices (SARPs), national regulations and quality management requirements governing Aeronautical Information Management.

Key Responsibilities
- Originating, collating, processing and disseminating aeronautical information, NOTAMs and Preflight Information Bulletins (PIB).
- Maintaining an updated technical library of foreign Integrated Aeronautical Information Products and ICAO documents.
- Preparing pre-flight, in-flight and post-flight information bulletins.
- Briefing pilots and aircraft operators on current aeronautical information and aviation regulations.
- Accepting and processing flight plans in accordance with national and ICAO standards.
- Issuing landing and over-flight permits to foreign aircraft, non-scheduled and private operators.
- Coordinating with the Finance Department to ensure payment of air navigation fees before issuance of flight permits and clearances.
- Calculating and disseminating air navigation fee invoices.
- Recording and compiling monthly statistics for passenger and cargo aircraft landing at airports and overflying Zimbabwean airspace.
- Facilitating the expeditious clearance of Presidential and diplomatic flights.
- Monitoring, repairing, accepting, rejecting and re-routing aeronautical messages in the Aeronautical Information Message Handling System.
- Assisting in aeronautical surveillance and auditing activities.
- Maintaining the Aeronautical Fixed Telecommunications Network database.
- Receiving and collecting revenue due to the Authority at airports.
- Performing any other duties assigned by the supervisor.
Requirements
- At least 2 “A” Level passes in Mathematics and Physics, Geography or Computer Science.
- 5 “O” Level passes , including Mathematics, Science and English Language.
- Candidates aged over 25 years may be considered if they possess AIM or aeronautical cartographic qualifications and experience in aeronautical information management.
- Must be aged between 18 and 25 years .
- A Degree in, or studying towards a degree in, Geographic Information Systems or Geospatial Intelligence is an added advantage.
