Job Summary
Applications are invited from suitably qualified and experienced personnel ,to fill the above mentioned vacant positions, which have fallen vacant in the Works Department.
Duties And Responsibilities
- Prepare Master and Local Plans
- Prepare layouts plans in terms of Section 43 of the Regional, Town and Country Planning Act (Chapter 29:12)
- Process Subdivision and Consolidation applications under Section 40 of the Regional Town and Country Planning Act (Chapter 29:12)
- Process Change of Reservation applications under Section 49 (3) of the Regional Town and Country Planning Act (Chapter 29:12)
- Carry out development control and site selection for different uses.
- Process Section 26 (3) applications and issue permits or refusal notices.
- Manage stand and sub-division and change of use registers
- Provide lease conditions for stands before processing of lease agreements Manage transport planning systems
- Recommend areas for topographical surveys to be conducted Check compliance of all building plans with Town Planning Regulations and Model Building By-laws Attend to queries from residents and take appropriate action Any other duties as assigned by the Town Planning Manager

Qualifications And Experience
- BSc Honours Degree in Rural and Urban Planning
- Be a member of the Zimbabwe Institute of the Regional and Urban Planners
- Be able to work under pressure and with minimum supervision
- A minimum of 5 years’ experience in Public Planning Environment
- Must be 30 years and above
