Desired Qualifications and Essentials

The applicant must be a holder of a Bachelor of Science Honours Degree in Biochemistry,Biological Sciences or Chemistry from a reputable institution recognized by the University of Zimbabwe.A minimum of 2 years relevant experience working in a Science Laboratory or a academic research institution is essential.Computer Literacy is a distinct advantage.

 

Duties and responsibilities

The successful candidate must be able to:

  • Run general practicals in the Biochemistry laboratory
  • Prepare and set-up practicals for the Medical and Science Classes
  • Procure laboratory equipment and chemicals
  • Take care and maintain Chemical Stores and Laboratory equipment
  • Undertake analyses of samples for both research and consultancy
  • Perform any other duties as may be assigned by the Chief Technician
